The Century Club
“The Century Club” was created to recognize the top 100 Northern Virginia poolplayers. Earn points through your scores in our weekly and NOVA BCA Classic regional singles tournaments. Our points system includes elements from several pool organizations, one of which is BCA.
In January of each new year, the #1 player from our player ranking list will receive the impressive, nearly 3′ tall silver trophy cup (above left) to keep and display for the year. That’s right — until he or she is dethroned. The model for this is the Stanley Cup in professional hockey. More information on “The Century Club” is forthcoming, including press releases and publicity in various media outlets.

Griffin highlights Northern Virginia professional Brandon Shuff (who won the 2009 BCA national 8ball championship) and what it will to take to establish true champions in pool. Pool focuses too much on what can be earned in a tournament today vs. the long-term planning and leadership thinking that leads to sponsorships, careers and a lasting reputation for one’s efforts. “The Century Club” will recognize the top 100 Northern Virginia poolplayers and help the sport of pool to take a small step forward in this regard.
